Week 37 – A bit over due!
This week our lovely neighbour in the village just below us gifted us some produce from his beautiful garden – quince, rhubarb and the biggest shiitake mushrooms! We definitely need to up our game! Our romanesque cauliflower is growing but we are still unsure if that is really what it is… The flower seems to be growing in separate bobbles instead of being tightly packed as we were expecting. We shall wait and see what next weeks development will bring.
We’ve had some much varied weather again with much cooler evenings, the farmers have been busy getting the last of the hay harvested to keep the cows in silage through the winter months, I think they would just be content with the weeds from our mud heap!
We also were treated to a fly by from a hot air balloon, squint and you can see it in the distance!
